After their recent victory at the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2024, a home tournament, they came to the tournament as favorites. They secured confident victories in the group stage, defeating Sashi, Ence, Heroic, NIP, and losing to Astralis. Thanks to finishing first in their group, The MongolZ advanced directly to the playoffs, where they faced and defeated Astralis, who had beaten them in the group stage, with a score of 2-1.
In the grand final, they met NIP again and won. NIP won the intense match on Ancient, which was their map choice. Mirage, chosen by The MongolZ, went better for them as they defeated NIP with a score of 13-7. Nuke was the decisive map where The MongolZ were stronger and clinched victory with a score of 13-6. The MVP of the tournament was Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch, who boasts a strong rating of 7.2.
The next tournament for The MongolZ will be the ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024, taking place in LAN format from June 14 to 16. The main prize will be a coveted slot in the ESL Pro League Season 20 and $50,000.
