The first day of play at the ESL Pro League Season 20: European Conference has concluded, where the main prize is a coveted slot in the ESL Pro League Season 20. The tournament runs from June 9 to 11, with 10 teams participating. Two of these teams were winners of the Hungarian and Balkan qualifiers, while the other eight were known from the ESL Challenger League Season 47: Europe.
Buhawi and ex-Guild Eagles, having won in the qualifiers, proceeded directly to the playoffs, while other teams will play each other in a BO1 format. After the first day of play, SINNERS and RUSH B are leading the overall table with a score of 3-1 after four matches. In contrast, Monte and Aurora find themselves at the bottom, with scores of 3-1, and are on the verge of elimination, with very slim chances of advancing to the playoffs.
9 Pandas, PARIVISION, SAW, and 3DMAX are in the middle of the table with scores of 2-2. The most crushing victory was achieved by Monte in their match against 3DMAX with a score of 13-3 on Dust 2. Conversely, the closest game ended with a score of 16-14 in two matches, between Monte and 9 Pandas on Anubis, and SINNERS and Aurora on Inferno.
The next matches continue tomorrow, also in a BO1 format. The results of the second day will reveal the two teams that will join Buhawi and ex-Guild Eagles in the battle for the coveted slot.
