PGL Bucharest 2025 Quarterfinals: best matches, kills, comments, memes, influencers reaction

The playoffs at PGL Bucharest 2025 kicked off just the way we love it — with total chaos and madness. A 13:0 from FaZe, a revenge match between Falcons and GamerLegion, XANTARES cyberbullying Complexity, Thomas the Tank Engine memes, and classic PGL AUDIO to top it off. Let's recall all the best moments from the quarterfinals — from epic highlights to the most cringe-worthy episodes.

Falcons vs. GamerLegion

Falcons finally took their revenge against GamerLegion for the painful past defeat where they could only secure 3 rounds over two maps. This time — a confident 2:1 victory, but that's not even the main point.

The match went down in tournament history as the second instance at PGL Bucharest 2025 where all three maps ended with the same score — 13:7. This had only happened before in the match between 3DMAX and Astralis. The chance of such an outcome is about 0.32%, or 1 in 310.

And who could forget GamerLegion's secret strats on Train, where coach ash was holding a piece of paper with a picture of Thomas the Tank Engine during the game.

FaZe vs. 3DMAX

FaZe decided not to hold back against 3DMAX. The first map, Anubis, ended in a complete blowout — 13:0. After a tough group stage for FaZe, this came as a shock to many. The second map was a bit easier for 3DMAX, but with only 5 rounds taken — it was their maximum. FaZe confidently advances to the semifinals.

Complexity vs. Aurora

Complexity continues to surprise everyone. A victory over Aurora and a move to the semifinals. The main hero was hallzerk — clutch plays at 11:8 on Nuke — that's something, probably my favorite moment of this tournament.

But there were also some odd moments. XANTARES stood out again — crouching over hallzerk's body after the round ended, and then he'll wonder why no one shakes his hand.

Another memorable moment on Anubis in the second round, when Wicadia with an XM1014 flanked mid, saw Grim, and then tried shooting at him from a distance — it looked absolutely hilarious.

PGL Audio Moment

And how could we forget the classic PGL AUDIO. In one of the rounds on replay, the sound was so terrible that the community once again recalled the golden phrase — "PGL AUDIO KEKW".

PGL Bucharest 2025 is taking place from April 6 to 13. The entire tournament is held in Bucharest, Romania, at the PGL Studio. Participants are competing for a prize pool of $625,000. You can follow the results and progress of the tournament through this link.
