Journalist BoDork posted on his Twitter account a list of teams that might receive partnership and participate in the Chinese league for the new season starting in 2024.
The list comprises 8 teams, among which two are currently actively recruiting players for their Valorant rosters - TOP Esports and Oh My God Esports. Also among the participants is the international team Ninjas In Pyjamas, and more information about NIP's move to China can be found at this link.
List of teams that might receive a partnership with Riot Games:
- EDward Gaming
- Bilibili Gaming
- FunPlus Phoenix
- Weibo Gaming
- Invictus Gaming
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- TOP Esports
- Oh My God Esports
Another international organization in the Chinese region?
The journalist also added that there's another international organization planning to move to the Chinese region to participate in the league. He did not disclose the specific name of this organization. Top international organizations without a main roster are FaZe Clan, G2, and Team SoloMid. One of these clubs might decide to join China, as two of them have already had experience in two different regions. Therefore, there's a high likelihood that they might be interested in the opportunity to move to China.
When will the Chinese league start?
The Chinese league will kick off alongside other leagues in February 2024 with a kick-off tournament and conclude with two phases of the national league. In these phases, teams will compete for slots in the Masters tournament, prize money, and points that will determine which teams will qualify for the world championship to be held at the end of 2024.
Riot Games is not commenting on rumors about the teams that will receive partnerships and keeps the list intriguing. We remain in anticipation of official announcements and further developments in the world of Valorant. Stay tuned to our site for the latest news.
