The regional competition in the Pacific region began later than all others, but that only means plenty of exciting matches lie ahead. Today, on the third day of play, two matches took place in the upper bracket quarterfinals, and we’re here to recap the results.

DRX vs. Nongshim RedForce

In the first match, fans witnessed a clash between DRX and Nongshim RedForce, with DRX entering as the favorites. Despite this, Nongshim delivered an impressive performance, even taking the second map. However, they ultimately couldn’t outplay their strong opponents, and the match ended with a 2-1 victory for DRX.

T1 vs. Paper Rex

The second match saw a highly anticipated showdown between T1 and Paper Rex. Over the past two years of rivalry between these teams, T1 hadn’t managed to win a single map. But today, they turned things around. After three intense maps, T1 finally broke their losing streak and defeated Paper Rex 2-1.

  
  

As a result of these matches, DRX and T1 advance to the upper bracket semifinals, where they will await their next opponents. Nongshim RedForce and Paper Rex, on the other hand, drop to the lower bracket, where they will soon fight to stay in the tournament.

VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff runs from January 18 to February 9 in LAN format at the Sangam Colosseum. Twelve partnered teams from the VCT program are competing for two invitations to Masters Bangkok and valuable Pacific Points, which are crucial for qualifying for the World Championship.
