Team NIP advanced to the grand finals of the YaLLa Compass 2024 tournament with a solid 2-0 victory over FURIA. This marks a momentous occasion for the team, as they have a chance to pick up their first win at a dash-1 level tournament 2,394 days after their last triumph at IEM Oakland 2017. The squad has undergone many changes since then, but two of those who achieved victory in 2017 are present in the NIP ranks. They are player REZ and coach Xizt, who in just four months as coach managed to lead the youngsters to the finals of the prestigious tournament.

The map is the peak of NIP and they started on the defensive side, FURIA started the attack with a score of 5-1, but NIP were not going to give up and took 6 rounds in a row, thus closing the half with a score of 7-5 in their favor. They also started by dominating the second half and ended the map with a total score of 13-7 in their favor.

Nuke
This map in turn was the peak of FURIA and they started on offense, NIP in turn on defense and showed dominance on the first map playing the half with a score of 8-4. In the second half NIP took four rounds in a row for attack, but FURIA decided to start gaining rounds by taking 3, but NIP did not let them do that thus taking the last round and won the map and won the match, the score of the map 13-7 also
MVP of this match
MVP of this match is definitely Artem “r1nkle” Moroz with rating 7.0, also he can become MVP of the whole tournament considering what kind of game he shows, but it will depend on him and his team in the grand-finals
YaLLa Compass 2024 was a real breakthrough for NIP, maybe this success will be the beginning of a new era of victories. The team has a big test ahead of them in the form of a final match against TheMongolz, with both teams battling it out for the $200,000 prize.
