Monte vs. Complexity match was delayed due to release CS2

The break between maps in the ESL Pro League Season 18 playoff match between Monte and Complexity lasted about an hour and a half. The delay was caused by the closure of CS:GO servers due to the release of Counter-Strike 2.

Immediately after the servers were shut down, Monte team manager Aidyn "KrizzeN" Turlybekov posted on Telegram that the pause could last up to five hours. This information was later confirmed by the team's coach Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov.

However, ESL was able to solve the problem much faster and the teams continued playing about an hour and a half after the end of the first map. However, it was not without problems. The teams agreed to finish the match today so that the winner would not have to play two BO3s tomorrow. The match can be continued today only on the default settings: without skins and with standard weapons (P2000 and M4A4).

The first map of the Ancient match ended with a score of 16:7 in favor of Monte. The second one was Overpass, the choice of Complexity. Anubis remained on the desideratum. The winner of the match advances to the quarterfinals of ESL Pro League Season 18, where they will meet Vitality.
