Jkaem talks about his uncertain future and performances at RES

Norwegian player Joakim “jkaem” Mirbostad shared with HLTV his thoughts on the future of his team after BLEED was left without an organization. Currently, the team is playing under the temporary name UNPAID at the RES Regional Champions tournament in Belgrade, where they have already qualified for the playoffs by beating PARIVISION.

“We are fighting for our careers”

After the victory over PARIVISION, jkaem admitted that the result at RES is critically important for all the team's players, as their future remains uncertain. “We're all fighting for our careers, and our result at this tournament could be decisive,” he said.

He also noted that the lack of support from the organization has given the players more freedom and confidence: “We decided to play more freely, to take risky individual steps, and it helped.”

BLEED and problems with the organization

The BLEED team recently disbanded due to problems with salaries, bootcamp expenses, and other obligations on the part of the organization. The players decided to stay together and continue to play in tournaments, but their future remains in question. Jkaem admitted that this situation had a strong impact on the team: “It has affected us more than we are willing to admit.”

Preparation for the RES tournament and future plans

According to jkaem, the team had limited preparation for the tournament due to problems with the Internet and players' personal affairs. However, despite this, they strive to show their best game and continue to compete.

The jkaem team is currently preparing for their playoff match against Sangal, and the Norwegian player admits that their opponents are “a very underrated team.” He also added that “CS is a game where anything is possible, and we believe we can beat them.”
