GamerLegion has announced a change in its roster: Andreas “aNdu” Maasing has been moved to the bench and is available for transfer. The organization announced this on its official Twitter account, and the team's head coach Ashley “ash” Battye commented on the decision for HLTV.
“This was not an easy decision, but with the changes in the CS landscape next year, we decided that we needed a player who better fits the mentality and ideology of our team,” said ash. He also expressed his gratitude to aNdu for his contribution to the team and wished him success in his future career.
Highlights of aNdu's career at GL
Estonian rifleman aNdu was first promoted to the main squad from the GL Academy in March this year, after which his performances received praise from experts such as Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen. In July, after a successful trial period, he was officially promoted to the main team.
Despite his promising beginnings, where he showed good results in his first three months, his performance dropped off dramatically, which was one of the factors behind this decision. This is the first serious blow for the young talent who seemed to be ready for bigger things.
What's next for GamerLegion?
This decision comes on the eve of the European RMR in Shanghai, where GamerLegion is scheduled to play. With less than two months until the tournament, the organization has little time to integrate a new player before the most important event of the year.
Today, we announce that Andreas ‘aNdu’ Maasing will step down from our active CS roster. After standout moments at CCT Finals & BLAST Premier, we’re grateful for his efforts and contributions, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. pic.twitter.com/GURdlT7kMY
