Thorin on s1mple's possible return to CS2

Olexander “s1mple” Kostylev, one of the best players in the history of Counter-Strike, continues to be in the spotlight even after temporarily retiring from his active career. The well-known analyst Thorin expressed confidence that s1mple will return to the professional CS2 scene sooner or later.

Thorin: s1mple will not stop

Thorin noted that s1mple has an inner desire to remain the best. He is sure that the player feels dissatisfied when he sees young talents such as donk and ZywOo becoming leaders in the Counter-Strike world. Thorin believes that s1mple is thinking: “When s1mple sits at home or at an event and sees donk or ZywOo become megastars, he doesn't like it. He thinks: 'No, no, no, wait, I'm the best player of all time'. And that's a real desire - he wants to prove that he's better than all these players" and that motivates him to come back.

Recent performances by s1mple

Currently, s1mple is taking a break from his career. His last appearance on the professional stage was in March this year, when he temporarily played for the Falcons. Oleksandr last played for his home club NAVI back in October last year. His status for 2024 remains uncertain for now, but fans continue to expect his possible return to CS2.

Will we see s1mple in NAVI or a new team?

It remains to be seen whether s1mple will return to his former club NAVI or choose a new project. However, if he does decide to return, it will certainly be one of the highlights of the year in Counter-Strike 2.
