The first round of the Swiss stage at Masters Bangkok 2025 has concluded, where the favorites fully justified their status and took a step closer to the playoffs.

Team Vitality vs. T1

The day started with a match between the best European team, Team Vitality, and the silver medalists of VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff—T1. Although Team Vitality were favorites even before the match began, it was expected that this victory would not come easily. That’s exactly how it turned out, despite the final 2-0 score in their favor potentially creating a different impression. T1 put up a strong fight and managed to win 19 rounds across two maps.

G2 Esports vs. Trace Esports

The same cannot be said about the second match. According to the community, G2 Esports were the undisputed favorites in their debut series at Masters Bangkok 2025, and they proved it. The team crushed the Chinese squad Trace Esports with a 2-0 score, completely dominating their opponents on their own map pick with a 13-3 result.

Masters Bangkok 2025 will take place from February 20 to March 2 in a LAN format at UOB Live. Eight partnered teams, two from each region, will compete for a $500,000 prize pool, VCT Points necessary for World Championship qualification, and the prestigious champion title.
