Falcons leave ESL Challenger Katowice 2024

The issues for the Falcons team persist: they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Eternal Fire and were eliminated from the ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 tournament. Despite having Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev on their roster, the team failed to win a single map.

Match Details

The first map of the match was Dust 2, where the first half was evenly matched, adding intrigue to the viewing. The second half was similar, leading to extra rounds where Eternal Fire managed to easily win 16-12.

The second was Inferno, which the Falcons last played in 2023 with their former lineup. As many expected, they lost the first half 11-1. In the second half, the Turkish team closed out the game, winning 13-4.

Losing Streak

With this loss, Falcons extended their losing streak to seven maps since s1mple joined the lineup, and the team's overall form also remains concerning: they have won only one of their last 14 series, that victory being against ATOX in ESL Pro League Season 20.

s1mple's Statistics

Despite the unfortunate outcome, s1mple showed glimpses of his legendary gameplay, especially on Dust2. His rating was a solid 7.3, the best on his team.

Meanwhile, the win for Eternal Fire has advanced them to the decisive match against B8, scheduled for 18:45. The Turkish team will compete for a spot in the playoffs, boosting their confidence after the successful outing against the Falcons.
