The group stage of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 has concluded, and the last four slots in the Play-in stage have been filled by teams fnatic, OG, Imperial, and BESTIA. They will now compete for a chance to qualify for the tournament in Berlin.

fnatic and OG's Journey

fnatic managed to recover from a 0-2 setback against The MongolZ, securing a victory over Cloud9 in an exciting three-map series in the decisive match of Group B. Meanwhile, OG continued their successful performance by defeating Virtus.pro in two maps.

Imperial and BESTIA's Journey

Imperial exacted revenge for an earlier loss by defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas without Max "⁠maxster⁠" Jansson in Group C. In Group D, viewers witnessed another heated rematch between BESTIA and M80, where Tomas "⁠tomaszin⁠" Corna helped BESTIA secure a victory, coming back after a dramatic triple overtime on the Inferno map.

Playoff Details in Berlin

Each winner will earn a spot in the main stage of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024, which automatically means qualification for the LAN portion. Teams will play at the LVL Dome Arena, but whether spectators will be allowed is still unknown. The arena accommodates only 250 spectators, which is quite small for a CS tournament.
