FACEIT for the second time open servers in Russia, this time the server appeared in Yekaterinburg. Before that, they also opened a server in Moscow, after which they received a lot of negative attention from Ukrainians.
Past server opening
The server opening in Moscow was on September 28, 2023 a couple of days after CS2 was released. After which various Ukrainian celebrities approached them asking why they were releasing servers in an aggressor country.
After that, on December 11, 2023, FACEIT made another update on their platform where they disabled the ability to play on Moscow servers for anyone not from Russia and Kazakhstan.
Adding a new server
Today it became known that the server Ekaterinburg was added to FACEIT servers, which again caused a lot of discussion and negativity. After all, the second time to open a server in a country that declared war in the 21st century is a complete absurdity and nonsense.
The company itself did not comment on this moment and there was no official announcement, which is surprising. Perhaps it did it quietly in order not to get negative comments, but they failed.
