BLAST Premier and Movember team up to support mental health in esports

BLAST Premier has announced a partnership with global charity Movember to raise awareness and support for mental health among esports players, fans, and the wider esports community. This cooperation is aimed at creating a psychologically safe space in the industry, as well as conducting educational seminars and research to develop mental health recommendations.

From Fall Final to World Final

Movember and BLAST Premier have already started implementing the joint initiative, meeting with fans, teams and players for the first time at the Fall Final in September, where Movember held seminars and opened a themed hair salon for open conversations with fans. The official launch of the partnership will take place during the BLAST Premier World Final in Singapore from October 30 to November 2.

Setting standards for the industry

As part of the upcoming collaboration, BLAST Premier and Movember will develop a set of recommendations based on the experience of esportsmen and players at various levels aimed at improving the impact of esports on mental health. These recommendations are planned to be disseminated to other organizations in the future, in particular through the introduction of “psychologically safe spaces” for the esports community.
