s1mple Might Stay with Falcons: Club Could Purchase Star's Contract After Loan

Renowned British journalist Richard Lewis stated that Falcons might make Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's loan permanent. The Ukrainian star has finally returned to the esports scene, but the team with s1mple is yet to win even a single map.

The team's recent results highlight this issue. Falcons lost all maps at the Thunderpick World Championship and the ESL Challenger Katowice, being the first to exit the tournament. However, despite the setbacks, the possibility of s1mple making a permanent move remains relevant.

The Loan Situation and Potential Transfer

According to Richard Lewis, Falcons will be able to buy out s1mple's contract from NAVI after the three-month loan period agreed upon at the end of September. The journalist reported that the loan was beneficial for all parties: Falcons exercised caution in purchasing the contract upfront, NAVI did not want to lose the player for free, but understood that selling him without providing playing experience would be challenging.

Falcons paid NAVI a sum for the three-month loan, and upon its expiration, they will be able to acquire s1mple at a reduced buyout price. Lewis also noted that s1mple had several offers but chose Falcons as he was assured that the team is ready to build around him and NiKo if he enjoys playing with them.

Falcons' Plans and Roster After New Year

Besides s1mple, Falcons intend to acquire NiKo, who according to Sheep Esports, will cost them between $930,000 and $1,130,000. If Falcons complete both transfers, their roster in January would look like this:
