A Reddit user decided to analyze the last 35,000 or so reviews of CS2 on Steam. The criteria used were the amount of time played, the number of games purchased, and the language of the reviews.
Analysis of reviews by playing time
Among the users who played for up to 100 hours, 12,578 positive and 1,963 negative reviews were found. In the group of players with more than 500 hours of play, there were 4,602 positive reviews and 772 negative reviews.

Analysis of reviews by the number of games purchased
For users who own at least 15 games, 12,700 positive and 2,434 negative reviews were found. Among those who have more than 500 hours of play and own at least 15 games, there were 1,880 positive and 75 negative reviews.
Analysis of reviews by language
The analysis of reviews by language showed the following results:
- Chinese: 15,873 positive and 800 negative reviews.
- Russian: 6,407 positive and 1,432 negative reviews.
- English: 4,510 positive and 1,247 negative reviews.
- Turkish: 1,028 positive and 313 negative reviews.
- Portuguese: 966 positive and 155 negative reviews.
Analysis using filters
With the filters applied (maximum 100 hours of play and maximum one game owned), the results were as follows:
- Chinese: 1,595 positive and 115 negative reviews.
- Russian: 2,104 positive and 355 negative reviews.
- English: 1,762 positive and 338 negative reviews.
- Turkish: 379 positive and 100 negative reviews.
- Portuguese: 318 positive and 45 negative reviews.
Overall, the analysis shows that the majority of players have positive feedback about CS2, although there are a number of negative reviews, especially among players with extensive gaming experience. Information on the language of reviews also allows us to see which regions are most satisfied or disappointed with the game.
