Riot Games has announced a new mode, "Swiftplay," which retains the classic gameplay of Summoner's Rift but makes it less intense for players. The main idea is to soften the impact of early-game mistakes, allowing all participants to unlock their champions' potential and focus on development rather than just confrontation.

Players will be able to battle on the lanes, participate in team fights, scale power, and experiment with tactics while maintaining a competitive spirit. However, in "Swiftplay," the focus shifts from individual victories in the lane to the overall team strategy.

What changes await players?

• More gold and experience: Players will level up faster thanks to increased rewards from all sources. Lagging players will receive additional resources to get back into the game.
• Smaller rewards for killing weaker opponents: This reduces the snowball effect, giving teams more chances for a comeback.
• Accelerated events: Turret plates disappear sooner, Baron appears earlier, and only three elemental dragons are needed to claim the dragon soul.
• Minion rewards for all: Even allies near the minion last-hitter will receive a portion of the gold.
• Support becomes stronger: Support champions receive more gold and enhanced item stats.

The matchmaking system will also undergo slight changes: champion selection for both roles will become easier, especially if the hero is not in the popular list.

Where and when can you try it?

With the release of update 25.S1.1, the "Swiftplay" mode will temporarily replace the quick game in several regions, including Russia, Europe, and North America. This will allow Riot to assess the popularity of the new mode and its impact on gameplay.
