League of Legends: Clash FAQ

League of Legends: Clash FAQ

League of Legends Clash is a monthly tournament mode in League of Legends designed for teams of five players to compete against opponents of similar skill levels. Starting on the Monday of Clash week, players can begin forming teams, with matches taking place on Saturday and/or Sunday. This gives participants the chance to battle for prestigious awards and trophies.

How the Tournament Works

Each day of the tournament, teams are placed into groups of eight, to win all three matches. Victorious teams receive a trophy and exclusive rewards not available in other game modes. The more wins your team secures, the better the prizes. Even if your team loses in the first round, there’s no need to despair—you’ll have a second chance in the consolation bracket, where you can still earn rewards, albeit less valuable ones.

Participation Rules

Each team can participate in only one LoL Clash group per day, and once matches begin, the roster is locked until all games in the group are completed. However, if things don’t go as planned on Saturday, you’ll have the opportunity to reorganize your team and try again on Sunday. You can stick with the same lineup or assemble a new team. If your team wins Clash on Saturday and claims your rewards, you’re free to participate again on Sunday—there are no restrictions on participation.

Entry Requirements

To join Clash, there are a few requirements you need to meet. First, your account must be at least level 30. Second, you need to have a rank in one of the ranked queues. Third, you must link a phone number to your account and verify it via SMS to prevent the creation of fake accounts and ensure fair play.

For ARAM Clash, a mode that differs from the standard version, having a rank in a queue is not necessary. Another requirement is purchasing a Clash ticket. A regular ticket costs 975 Blue Essence (BE) or 195 RP, while an upgraded ticket is 975 RP, offering more generous rewards for victory.

Scouting Phase

Once the tournament bracket is formed, the Scouting Phase begins. During this phase, you’ll be shown statistics and other information about your opponents to help you better prepare for the champion selection and banning phase. You’ll be able to see your opponents’ win rates, their favorite champions’ win rates in ranked queues, champions with the highest mastery levels, and their previous Clash match history.

Champion Selection

Once the Scouting phase concludes, the Champion Select phase begins. This process mirrors what you might recognize from professional matches, featuring two ban phases followed by two pick phases. The team captain makes all the ban decisions, adding a layer of strategy and responsibility to the selection process. Unlike regular games, where swapping champions can be tricky, in Clash, all champions are unlocked. However, if you fail to lock in your champion or select one in time, you'll be assigned a random champion.

ARAM Clash Features

In ARAM Clash, the rules follow the standard ARAM mode. How does ARAM Clash work? You’ll receive five random champions to play, and the reroll function is available if you want to swap for a different random champion. If the new champion doesn’t suit you, and your teammate has a more suitable one, you can swap champions. If the champion you need is available, you can pick them from the available champions list. Your previous champion will then return to the pool, allowing for flexible team composition.

Winning all matches in the bracket grants the team not only a trophy but also a banner corresponding to the tournament’s theme. This banner will be displayed on your profile page, reminding others of your in-game achievements. During a match, the banner will be placed beside your lane. For players aiming to continually improve their skills, these rewards offer a significant incentive to participate in each subsequent Clash.
