New Marvel Rivals Patch (Version 20250327): Easter Egg and Key Update Changes

NetEase Games has released the official patch notes for Marvel Rivals version 20250327, which will be available on March 27, 2025. The latest update brings a wave of hero balance changes, bug fixes, and a mysterious Easter egg tied to the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event, dedicated to April Fool's Day.

The biggest and most intriguing addition in this patch is the limited-time Easter egg reward hidden within Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure, a tabletop event in Marvel Rivals. Players who collect all available rewards during the event will gain access to a hidden surprise, available only from April 1 to April 4 (UTC+0).

Aside from seasonal content, the patch also includes a series of hero and map fixes aimed at improving gameplay ahead of the anticipated launch of Season 2, rumored to start on April 11. Key updates include ability enhancements for heroes Wolverine, Iron Fist, Iron Man, Loki, Magneto, and Human Torch, addressing a number of unusual gameplay errors.

Hero and Ability
Fix
Terrifying Pounce of Wolverine
Fixed an issue where Hulk sometimes behaved abnormally after being knocked out against terrain by Wolverine’s Terrifying Pounce.
Wall-Climbing Whimsy of Iron Fist
Resolved a glitch on the Practice Range where Iron Fist climbed walls too skillfully.
Teleportation Tangle of Iron Man
In Sanctum Sanctorum, using Iron Man’s Hyper-Velocity right before entering a portal sometimes caused glitches — the ability could misfire with strange visual effects.
Forbidden Tech of Loki-Doctor Strange
Fixed an error in Doom Match mode where Loki, transformed into Doctor Strange, could use the forbidden Pentagram of Farallah.
Magnetic Moments of Magneto
Resolved an issue where Magneto’s MVP title post-match could be accompanied by strange and bizarre visual effects.
Ultimate Ability of Wolverine
Fixed a bug where during high network latency, enemies knocked and slammed into the ground by Wolverine’s ultimate ability could end up in incorrect locations.
Fiery Focus of Human Torch
Fixed a rare bug where Human Torch’s primary attack sometimes missed entirely, reducing his fiery power’s effectiveness.

Specifically, Feral Leap and Ultimate for Wolverine now work more reliably during network issues. Wall-Climbing in Iron Fist on Practice Range has been restricted, Human Torch now consistently lands his fiery strike, and Iron Man no longer gets stuck when using portals after Hyper-Velocity. The strange bug where Loki, transforming into Doctor Strange, could use the forbidden Pentagram of Farallah in Doom Match mode has also been fixed.

Regarding maps, smoother terrain interaction is expected, with several character-sticking issues resolved. One of the main fixes is on the Hydra Charteris Base map, where Rocket Raccoon’s B.R.B. ability could revive allies outside the playable area.

Console players also received a fix: an issue where the chat window unexpectedly switched to old messages has been addressed.

The update rolls out in the final days of Season 1 Eternal Night Falls — a vampire-themed storyline that recently introduced new skins, including Moon Knight’s Fist of Vengeance and Black Panther’s Thrice-Cursed King. Players are already speculating that Season 2 will focus on the Hellfire Gala, eagerly anticipating the arrival of new characters like Blade or Emma Frost.

Despite recent complaints about balance — especially regarding flying heroes like Storm, Iron Man, and Human Torch — Marvel Rivals continues to set a high standard, with most players praising NetEase for regular updates and attentiveness to the community.

Marvel Rivals version 20250327 will be available to players at 9:00 UTC on March 27, and all updates will take effect immediately, with no server downtime.
