Monster Hunter Wilds Teases New Event Quests

Capcom has just revealed two exciting limited-time event quests coming to Monster Hunter Wilds, both running from July 8 to July 22, and they’re loaded with exclusive gear for dedicated Hunters and their loyal Palicoes. After the game’s successful launch earlier this year and two major Title Updates, Monster Hunter Wilds continues to expand its live-service offerings. Weekly rotating events have become a core component of its post-launch support, but these latest additions: An Inferno Laid Bare and Fleeting Bubbles, promise something a bit more unique.

An Inferno Laid Bare (6★ Event Quest)

This high-rank hunt tasks players (HR 31+) with taking down a Nu Udra in the scorching Oilwell Basin. Success will grant materials to craft two flashy, exclusive cosmetics:

  • Pinion Necklace α
  • Felyne Bell Collar α

Both pieces are purely cosmetic but are sure to become collector favorites for those looking to stand out during hunts.

Fleeting Bubbles (5★ Challenge Quest)

For HR 21+ Hunters who enjoy a true test of skill, Fleeting Bubbles introduces a classic-style Mizutsune showdown in the Wounded Hollow. As a Challenge Quest, players must complete the hunt under strict rules:

  • Standardized gear only
  • No meal buffs
  • No Palico assistance
  • Time-based performance grading

Faster completion times unlock rarer exclusive pendants, with final rewards distributed after rankings are calculated post-event. It’s a brutal trial, but one that will definitely appeal to the game’s competitive veterans.

Capcom’s live-service direction with Wilds echoes the evolution started with Monster Hunter: World, and it continues to pay off. Due to features like Focus mode, the game is still among the simplest entries within the franchise. Additionally, its refined quality-of-life improvements certainly help. Nevertheless, it is apparent that the community remains engaged mainly due to the weekly Event Quests, even though they have added new monsters, game modes, and Layered Weapons through free updates.
