Marvel Rivals April 17 Update: Custom Skin Colors and Major Fixes

The new update for Marvel Rivals as of April 17 allows players to customize hero costume colors, adds new skin sets, and introduces some game fixes.

The main change in the current update is the costume color customization feature, which enables players to unlock and apply alternative color palettes to selected hero costumes. Once colors are purchased, they remain permanently available through the costume interface.

The first wave of this system offers the following color palettes for characters:

  • Rosy Resilience
  • Phantom Purple
  • Plasma Pulse
  • Winter’s Wrath

NetEase has confirmed that future updates will include more heroes and palettes, promoting even greater visual diversity.

New Skin Sets in the Store

Alongside the launch of customization, two new thematic hero sets will be available:

  • Doctor Strange — 'Multiverse of Madness' Set
  • Peni Parker — 'Yatsukahagi' Pack

These sets are expected to include new skins and possibly emotes or currency packs, allowing players to stand out not just visually but also strategically.
