The new update for Marvel Rivals as of April 17 allows players to customize hero costume colors, adds new skin sets, and introduces some game fixes.
The main change in the current update is the costume color customization feature, which enables players to unlock and apply alternative color palettes to selected hero costumes. Once colors are purchased, they remain permanently available through the costume interface.
The first wave of this system offers the following color palettes for characters:
NetEase has confirmed that future updates will include more heroes and palettes, promoting even greater visual diversity.
Alongside the launch of customization, two new thematic hero sets will be available:
These sets are expected to include new skins and possibly emotes or currency packs, allowing players to stand out not just visually but also strategically.
The April 17 update also includes several key fixes and optimizations:
General Fixes:
Individual Hero Fixes:
Hero | Fix |
Wolverine | Fixed an issue with the ultimate ability not completing in poor connection conditions, and restored directional control during Fastball Special usage. |
Bruce Banner / Hulk | Fixed a model display bug during transformations in "killer" landscape zones. |
The Thing | Adjusted the KO hint icon when his Ult results in destruction via landscape. |
Adam Warlock | Fixed a bug that allowed teammates to be revived outside the play area on the "Spider Islands" map. |
PC Enhancements:
The PC version of the game now supports Razer Chroma RGB and Razer Sensa HD Haptics — over 600 effects enhancing game immersion, from transformations to spells and hits.
The current update made no changes to character gameplay features or hero balance adjustments. It is more focused on improving the overall gaming experience, customization, and fixing bugs that have been present in the game.
