A Fortnite leak has revealed a map update coming to the popular Fortnite Reload mode, which will feature a revamped version of the classic island from Chapter 2. According to reliable insider HYPEX, the update is expected on April 15.

The Reload mode debuted in June 2024 and quickly gained popularity among players due to its more dynamic, streamlined take on the classic Fortnite Battle Royale. With 40-player lobbies, faster matches, a smaller map, and a "respawn" mechanic, Reload has carved out its unique niche within the game's ecosystem.

According to the leak, the updated Reload map will be a condensed version of the "Apollo" island from Fortnite's Chapter 2. Players can expect the return of familiar points of interest (POI), including both Dirty Docks and Steamy Shacks, which will be placed closer together to match the fast-paced nature of the mode.

This leak aligns with previous speculations that Epic Games plans to reuse and reimagine older map designs in future Reload updates. There have been rumors that areas from Chapters 5 and 6 of Fortnite might appear in the game.
The upcoming Reload update is just part of a larger wave of content being prepared for Fortnite. Recently, the game has seen collaborations with The Walking Dead and Mortal Kombat universes, the latter of which will introduce themed POIs and a Scorpion boss.

Epic Games has yet to officially confirm the leak regarding the new map, but given previous instances of confirmed information and leaks from HYPEX, players can likely expect the nostalgic Fortnite map to make a return.
