Finally! In a recent announcement, Activision has revealed that the much-anticipated Call of Duty x Squid Game will be released on the 3rd of January which is exactly one week after the release of the 2nd season of Squid Game on Netflix. This crossover is set to bring the thrill of Squid Game into the Call of Duty universe. 

The collaboration includes exclusive content  such as skins of operators, weapons, and even game modes limited to this event. It also features  a version of the famous ‘red light, green light’ game from Squid Game. In this  game the players have to run across the map but if they hear the voice saying “red light”,  they have to freeze or they will die. This does to the game what Shawshank does to prison movies: it adds a sense of tension to the otherwise fast paced action. 

It also offers  the skins of operators which are based on the characters of Squid Game. From the red uniform of the guards to the black attire of the Front Man, every fan will get what they want. As for how one can get these skins, the information remains quite mysterious but special bundles for these skins are  believed to be released on the Call of Duty’s crossovers store with other franchises.
