Arrowhead Game Studios recently revealed a new Helldivers 2 battle pass, and it will arrive February 6th, titled Servants of Freedom.
On February 6, fans of the cooperative shooter Helldivers 2 will be able to plunge into a new stage of the fight for freedom, as Arrowhead Studio is releasing a new combat pass called Servants of Freedom. This content pack, in addition to traditional items and weapons, will offer players new opportunities for tactical play and improving their arsenal.
Key features
- B-100 Portable Hellbomb: Handheld form of the destructive device, and can be thrown with a player button press, with a buddy, or with a button press and a buddy, respectively. Once thrown, it will have a ten-second count, and one will have to move to a safe distance at once.
- LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle: Double-edged sword with a new weapon that not only wounds enemies but wounds its owner, offering a new challenge and planning in battle.
- GP-20 Ultimatum: a secondary-slot grenade launcher pistol for use at close range. It packs a lot of power but can hurt its owner, too, and must therefore be handled with care.
- G-50 Seeker: Miniature follow-drone that will explosively destroy in contact with enemies and can mark enemies with markers for increased tacticial value
- New Armor Martyr IE-3 and IE-12 Righteous: Both of these armors feature cloak and cape-inspired accents and have a passive skill "Integrated Explosive Devices" that, when dead, will make the player’s body explode, dealing damage to nearby enemies.
Cost and availability
As in years gone by, new battle pass Servants of Freedom will cost 1000 super-credits. That is a price one can reasonably pay for such an addition, and most will have access to it.
Why it's important:
Helldivers 2 continues to build, attracting new players and offering new experiences for repeat enthusiasts. Not only does the Servants of Freedom battle pass introduce new cool gear and weaponry, but it opens new avenues for planning in terms of mission strategies, as well. Developers must clearly have a concern for maintaining player momentum with ongoing updates and a new gaming experience.
