With Timothy Timepiece, he values Time above all else and consequently, respecting it. Which makes perfect sense, considering the fact that he is the personification of a Clock.
Date Everything, a dating simulator with the objective of dating every household object around you, introduces a variety of characters and storylines. There are over 100 Dateables in the game, with each requiring specific dialogue choices to unlock different endings. If you’re not careful, you might end up being locked into a Hate Ending with your favourite Dateable.
Timothy Timepiece’s strictly good-mannered character dictates you to meet him at an exact time, under the guise of upholding the benefits of schedules. However, if you mistakenly meet him at any other time, you’ll find that he harbors a secret in the form of an entirely different personality. His alter ego, Timmy, is his exact opposite- appearing in the form of a sleepy, laidback catboy.
With Timothy, you will spend your dates learning his lessons on the importance of respecting other people’s time and schedule. With Timmy, your dates will consist of teaching Timmy to not change himself for others’ acceptance.
You can unlock Timothy/Timmy by wearing the Dateviator and interacting with the clocks around the house, which resembles the classic, cat-inspired Kit-Cat Klock. There are three available clocks in the game, which are located in your Home Gym, Dining Area and Bedroom.
In your first interaction, you will always meet Timothy Timepiece instead of Timmy. For any interaction afterwards, meeting him at the specified time will summon Timothy while any other time will summon Timmy instead.
They appear as a young man with cat ears and a tail that moves back and forth with every tick of the clock. He wears a pristine suit, a clock-patterned undershirt, white gloves with claws at each fingertip and gear-shaped sleeve buttons. The only difference in their appearance is that Timothy is always holding his pocketwatch while Timmy doesn’t.
Getting an Ending with Timothy or Timmy gives you +5 Smarts SPECS points.
Contrary to what some players may believe, meeting with Timmy will not affect your relationship with Timothy. You can interact with either of them in any order and not affect their storylines.
But once you have achieved an Ending with either Timothy or Timmy, you will not be able to interact with the other anymore. This means that you can’t get an Ending with both of them in the same playthrough. Here is how you can get the Friends, Love or Hate Ending for either Timothy or Timmy.
How To Get ‘Friends’ Status
Timothy:
To befriend him, agree with him about the importance of Timeliness and Scheduling. When you are asked to help care for his timepieces, handle them with respect and care. In your final conversation, choose the option ‘Trust for what?’ when it pops up. When he asks you to ‘stay by his side’, say that it is ‘so sudden’. He will offer you friendship instead.
Timmy:
To befriend him, be very accepting of Timmy and his personality. In the conversation when he has the zoomies, deny that you want to help Timothy lock him up. After, when he reveals that he acts differently when he has zoomies, respond with ‘Timothy shouldn’t hate you for that’. This locks you into the Friend route. In your final conversation, he will say that he wants you as his best friend.
How To Get ‘Love’ Status
Timothy:
To get Timothy’s Love Ending, follow the Friend route up until the final conversation. When he says that ‘you’ve shown yourself worthy of trust’, reply with ‘I’m so honored’. He will ask you to ‘stay by his side’. Respond with ‘I thought you’d never ask.’
Timmy:
To get Timmy’s Love Ending, follow the Friend route but make sure to tell him that his zoomies are ‘completely normal’. When he says that he ‘could be complete’ with you by his side, reply with ‘I’d love that.’
How To Get ‘Hate’ Status
Timothy:
To get him to hate you, you will need to constantly dismiss the importance of time and order. During the third conversation, when he asks you to help him with his timepieces, reply with ‘I mind quite a bit’. He will get mad and dismiss you immediately. In your next interaction, ask him ‘What’s your problem?’ Continue choosing disrespectful responses and he will launch into a tirade. You will then achieve the Hate Ending.
Timmy:
To get Timmy to hate you, reject this side of him. Constantly tell him that you dislike this side of him and call him a ‘nightmare freak’. When he admits to having zoomies, reply with ‘I agree with Timothy.’ Then, when he accuses you of helping Timothy to lock him away from the world, tell him that he’s a menace and he should be locked up.
In your interactions with Timothy/Timmy, you can receive a total of 3 Collectables. These can be unlocked by interacting with both Timothy and Timmy.
Due to the fact that you can get an Ending with only one of them, you can complete Timothy’s storyline without ever interacting with Timmy. However, to collect all of their Collectables, you will have to interact with both of them. It’s important to befriend both of them in this route, as your interactions might be cut short if you get them to hate you.
Here are the interactions needed, consecutively, to collect all of them:
When a Dateable’s storyline has been completed, you have the option to bring them to life by Realizing them. This unlocks their true ending where you see how they live their lives as real human beings. Once you have Realized them, you can’t interact with them anymore. To Realize them, you need a Realization Recipe- the amount of SPECS points required. Each Dateable has their own unique recipe. Timothy and Timmy, however, share the same recipe as they are the same person.
To Realize Timothy Timepiece/Timmy, you will need:
When you aren’t able to Realize someone despite completing their storyline and having all the necessary SPECS points, it is due to their Unfurnished Business. This means that they are still needed in the storyline of other Dateables.
