Path of Exile Atlas Skill Tree Beginners Guide
Path of Exile Atlas Skill Tree Beginners Guide

Path of Exile 2 has been out for some time now and players are already looking to perfect their endgame builds ahead of an eventual full launch later into the year. Once you complete the campaign twice -- once on normal difficulty and the next on cruel, you'll get access to the endgame, a large scale map where you'll fight various enemies and do multiple new quests.

Along with the endgame map comes the Atlas skill tree, an addiitonal skill tree to help your character deal with the much harder bosses that come in the endgame. Let's take a look at how you should build your Atlas skill tree in Path of Exile 2:

The first thing you're going to want to do when you get access to the Atlas skill tree is to find the nodes that increase Waystones. Waystones are the keys that allow you to access new parts of the endgame map, and this is why you're going to want to start the path that allows you to find them more frequently during your run in Path of Exile 2.

We recommend the path that goes towards constant crossroads, this path grants you a 20% increased chance of dropping higher-tier Waystones, meaning you're also going to get the opportunity to play on higher-tier maps in the endgame. We then recommend you go upwards on the tree towards Higher Tier Waystones. This is because at a certain point, the lower-tier maps will not be challenging for you, and only when you go to higher tiers will the game start to feel challenging again.

Once you have gotten started getting higher tier maps, you're going to want to start modifying the monsters and the pack sizes, this is where you'll go to the bottom left on the starter tree for the Atlas Skill Tree. Start by going towards Rising Danger, this will give you 15% increased rare monsters on the maps you choose to play on. Going for this node will automatically get you two times pack size, both giving 3% increased pack size on your maps.

This should be enough to get you started on the Atlas Skill Tree in Path of Exile 2, you'll have increased Waystones, increased Pack Size, and Increased Rare Monster spawns, preparing your character towards the late game.
