Marvel Rivals White Fox Guide — Abilities, How to Play & Counters

White Fox (Ami Han) is Season 7's new Strategist — and she's one of the most versatile supports the game has seen. She heals from range, teleports across the map in an instant, and can flip into a melee burst mode that turns her into a legitimate threat. Here's the full breakdown of her kit and how to play her well.

Yeowoo Guseul — Primary Fire (Left Click)

Fox Marbles that bounce off terrain and heroes, then home in on nearby targets. Damages enemies, heals allies, and restores Spirit Tail energy. 15 ammo. The auto-homing makes these easier to land than they look — you don't need precise aim, just point roughly toward your teammates.

Spectral Surge — Secondary Fire (Right Click)

Consumes 1 Spirit Tail to send a spectral fox forward. Heals allies it passes through and grants them brief invulnerability. Damages enemies and Charms them — forcing them to walk toward White Fox. 6s cooldown. One of the best soft-CC tools in the support roster.

Spirit Sanctuary — Shift (Mobility)

Teleport directly to a chosen ally — through walls, across the map, instantly. On arrival, heals allies in the area and generates a shield barrier (200 HP) that blocks incoming attacks from outside. 12s cooldown. This ability alone makes White Fox one of the highest-impact supports in clutch situations.

Fox Form Awakening — E

Transforms White Fox into her Awakened state for 12–15 seconds depending on how many Spirit Tails are active. In this state, her primary and secondary fire are replaced with melee attacks:

  • Claw Strike (Left Click) — rapid melee combo
  • Predatory Pounce (Shift) — dash forward, slow the target, flip over them, then dash again to knock back
  • Tail Sweep (Right Click) — sweeping attack that launches enemies upward

Every hit in Awakened Form releases a healing pulse for nearby allies. Spirit Tail energy drains over the duration.

Kumiho Unleashed — Ultimate (Q)

Transforms into a full nine-tailed fox with 900 HP and a 10-second window. Abilities change completely:

  • Ninefold Slam (Left Click) — slam the ground for AoE damage; hitting enemies grants One-Time Healing to self and nearby allies
  • Blessed By The Nine (Right Click) — target an ally to grant them Continuous Healing, Unstoppable, and Lifesteal for a short time

While in Kumiho Form, White Fox cannot receive healing from others.

Spirit Fox Ward — Team-Up (with Luna Snow)

White Fox grants Luna Snow a spirit fox. Luna can activate it for a burst of speed and fire it forward — healing allies in its path while applying Charm to enemies. As Team-Up Anchor, White Fox gains a 10% increase to her own healing effects.

How to Play White Fox

Standard Form — Stay Back, Keep Healing

When no transformations are active, trail your team from behind and keep Fox Marbles flying. The projectiles bounce and home in, so you rarely miss. Mix in Spectral Surge whenever enemies are close — the Charm effect is great for interrupting dives and making enemies briefly walk toward your team instead of attacking.

Spirit Sanctuary — Use It Proactively

Don't wait until an ally is already dead to teleport in. The shield generated on arrival can block incoming Ultimates — Magneto and Scarlet Witch Ults can both be cancelled by a well-timed teleport. Use it the moment you see a big ability winding up near a teammate.

Awakened Form — Anti-Dive Tool

Hitting E mid-fight turns White Fox into a melee threat, which completely punishes dive-based heroes like Spider-Man who expect to pop in on a passive healer and escape. Her bread-and-butter combo in this state: Shift → Right Click → Shift. This repositions and weakens the target, breaking their formation without committing to a full chase.

Kumiho Form (Ultimate) — Emergency Heals Only

The 900 HP pool is tempting but don't play aggressive. You can't receive healing yourself while transformed, so going in swinging is a fast way to burn the Ultimate for nothing. Hold left and right click simultaneously, keep your aim on your team, and use Blessed By The Nine on whoever is in the most danger. The Unstoppable buff alone can save teammates from crowd control chains.

Tips & Tricks

  • Charm stacking: Spectral Surge's Charm is similar to Emma Frost's Ultimate in effect, but shorter. Combine it with your team's burst damage for fast picks.
  • Ultimate timing: Use Kumiho Unleashed as an emergency cooldown when your team is getting wiped, not as an opener.
  • Teleport as a shield: Spirit Sanctuary's barrier blocks attacks from outside. Teleporting into a teammate being focused by a Duelist puts a wall between them and the attacker.
  • Fox Marbles don't require aim: Just fire them in your teammates' general direction. The homing means you're mostly just keeping the stream going.

Best Counters to White Fox

White Fox's 275 HP is low even by Strategist standards, and her healing can be outpaced by coordinated burst damage. She's vulnerable when isolated.

Counter
Why
Blade
Melee combos + Lifesteal overwhelm her before Spirit Sanctuary can save her
Hawkeye
Long-range burst damage and stun trap — she has no answer from distance
The Punisher
Sustained targeted burst cuts through her HP before she can react
Elsa Bloodstone
High combo burst eliminates her before her kit can respond

The best way to play against White Fox is to isolate her from her team — take away the teleport target and she's just a 275 HP hero with no escape.

White Fox is available in Marvel Rivals as of Season 7, which launched March 20, 2026.

reminds me of when ana first dropped in overwatch, her impact with sleep dart and biotic grenade was huge, white fox's spectral surge seems similar with that charm mechanic, disrupting dives like spider-man makes her a powerful support just like ana was back then
