The early release for Path of Exile 2 has been out for a couple of weeks now and some players are still having dififculty obtaining a hideout. They may have seen their favorite streamer hanging out at their own custom hideout, but are unable to figure out how to get their own. Stay tuned to this quick guide on how to unlock Hideout in Path of Exile 2.
Unlocking a Hideout in PoE2
For those wondering how to get their own Hideout in Path of Exile 2, you must reach the Endgame portion of the game. This is an actual area called the Endgame, where players must complete Acts One to Three twice, once on normal difficulty and once on cruel difficulty. Once you have completed both playthroughs, you will unlock a new mode called the Endgame, a completely separate area where players will unlock hundreds of hours of content.
Let's take a look at the Endgame map, you'll notice there are areas that will have the name Hideout on them, an example being the Limestone Hideout. These Hideouts will have to be taken by force, meaning you'll have to defeat the boss in that area and then you'll be able to claim that Hideout as your own.
To access a map, you'll need what's called a Waystone. This is a small item in your inventory that will allow you to travel to different sections of the Endgame map. To enter Hideout you wish to take over, simply click on the map, move the Waystone over to the box that just appeared, and you'll be off to the races.
Once you have defeated all of the enemies in the area, the Hideout is yours to claim. You can set this new place as your Hideout by simply claiming it, or if that doesn't work for some reason, speak to Alva. Speaking to Alva will allow you to swap between Hideouts once you start getting deeper into the Endgame. Once you have a Hideout, you're able to move around the stash, guild stash, reforge bench, and more to make it personal to you.
