Finally, players of Grow a Garden have been eagerly awaiting one of the best features for the game — the trading system. Now, users no longer need to fear being scammed out of valuable items during exchanges, as was common before, since up until now, the exchange and "trading" system relied on a gentleman's agreement and trust between players, who were often scammed out of unique pets or fruits. But now everything will change — this process has become safer thanks to proper trading.
If you're not yet familiar with the new feature and want to learn how to safely trade your Kitsune for a Raccoon or another pet, this guide will explain how the new trading system in Grow a Garden works.

Why the trading system matters in Grow a Garden
In Grow a Garden, like in many Roblox games, the main audience consists of children who want to acquire rare in-game items, and therefore often trade with each other. The exchange process in Grow a Garden was previously based on a gentleman's agreement: both parties offered an exchange through the "gift" feature.
This often led to disputes about who would hand over their item first, with the fear that the other player might just leave the game with the received item without fulfilling their promise (part of the exchange deal). Such a system frustrated players, so the developers finally added a mechanic to prevent scams and fraudulent schemes among users.

How to get trading ticket in Grow a Garden
Before you start trading and exchanging in Grow a Garden, you will need trading tickets.
Trading tickets can be purchased in the in-game shop for Sheckles or Robux. However, they are not always available for purchase — sometimes you have to wait for them to reappear at certain intervals. Or you can manually refresh the stock using the RESTOCK button. But don't worry, as trading tickets appear quite frequently — unlike unique plants.
A single trading ticket in Grow a Garden costs 100,000 Sheckles, which is quite affordable if you have already made some progress in the game. You can also purchase a ticket via donation — for just 19 Robux, without waiting for it to appear in the shop or accumulating in-game currency.

Remember: a trading ticket in Grow a Garden is single-use. This means you can only make one exchange with a player per ticket you have. If the other player accepts your trade request and you successfully complete the transaction, the ticket will be used. If the exchange or trade request is declined, the ticket remains with you.

What you should know about trading in Grow a Garden
Here are some tips and important details about the new item exchange system in Grow a Garden that you should know and remember before starting to trade:
During item transfer, there is a 5-second timer that locks the Accept
and Confirm
buttons. This is done to prevent scams — so no one can suddenly agree to an incomplete or unfavorable deal or run away with someone else's item without a counteroffer.
Thus, Grow a Garden finally has a fair and secure exchange system that prevents players from scamming each other.
Check the value of items during exchanges. Pay attention to the values in the Your Value and Value fields to ensure you're not trading an expensive item (like a pet) for a significantly cheaper one. Always double-check the offer — sometimes someone might try to deceive you.
Seeds cannot be traded. Currently, only fruits and already harvested plants are available for trade. Perhaps in the future, there will be an option to trade seeds as well — this would indeed be a useful addition.
