Path of Exile 2 has been out for some time now and by now players have started to grind through the end-game map as they look to complete the highest tier possible and push for that sweet level 100. The end-game in Path of Exile 2 can be confusing at times, especially for newer players to the franchise. It definitely takes some time getting used to as there is a lot of new information to take in that wasn't present during the standard campaign.
One of those 'new' features being Distilled Emotions. Let's take a look at what they are and how you can get and use them in Path of Exile 2:
Distilled Emotions in Path of Exile 2
First things first, players need to understand the distinction between the different types of Distilled Emotions in Path of Exile 2. There are two different types, one that anoints your amulet with a section of the Passive Tree, and another that impacts the map you are playing on using Waystones.
Let's start by anointing the amulet, taking a look at your passive skills, and finding a section that you would like to include in your amulet using the Distilled Emotions. To anoint an amulet, you need to use three Distilled Emotions and combine them. To find out which ones you need, go over to the passive skill you wish to unlock, press ALT, and at the bottom it will tell you which Distilled Emotions you need. Combine those to anoint your amulet.
As you can see in the image above, you get the Sturdy Metal passive, you'll need to get Paranoia, Creed, and Disgust from the Distilled Emotions.
To add buffs to the maps, you're going to need to do the same process, but for Waystones instead. Simply place the Waystone you wish to upgrade in the box, and select the three Distilled Emotions you wish to use. Once you've selected the three, below you will see the Delirium Modifiers which will tell you how the map will be impacted.
Let's take a look at how you get can some Distilled Emotions:
There are two ways you can get Distilled Emotions in Path of Exile 2, the first is by talking to Alva in town. When you're in the end-game, she will offer an option for 'Exchanging Currency'. In the I Have box, place your Exalted Orbs, these will be used in exchange for Distilled Emotions. Then in the I Want box, select Distilled Emotions.
The second method is by playing on one of the many Delirium end-game maps. This method is rather simple, hover over the maps until you find one that has a Delirium node on it. Move around the map until you find a mirror. Go through the mirror to which the Delirium fog'll greet you. This fog will spawn Delirium monsters. The more you kill, the longer it lasts. Once it's over, Distilled Emotions will drop. The longer you survive, the better the loot.
