The Blood Moon Event is a new limited-time event launched in Grow A Garden. During this event, fruits can transform into a new mutation called Bloodlit, and players can explore the Blood Moon Shop for exclusive items. Read on for more details.
When Does the Blood Moon Event Occur?
The Blood Moon has a 33% chance of appearing during nighttime, which occurs every hour. This means the Blood Moon typically appears once every three hours. Unlike regular nighttime, which lasts 10 minutes, the Blood Moon phase remains active for 15 minutes.
What Happens During a Blood Moon?

Bloodlit Mutation

While the Blood Moon is active, your fruits have a chance to mutate into the Bloodlit form. When this happens, the game will notify you. Bloodlit Fruits glow red, making them easy to distinguish. These special fruits sell for four times the normal value, but they also serve another purpose.
You can trade Bloodlit Fruits with the Wise Old Owl NPC at the center of the map. They are considered Moon Mutated Fruits, much like Moonlit Fruits. Trading in Bloodlit Fruits earns you Lunar Points, which unlock exclusive rewards once you reach certain milestones. These rewards include Night Seed Packs and Night Eggs, which contain rare items and animals such as Moonflowers, Mint, and a pet Hedgehog.

Blood Moon Shop
When the Blood Moon rises, the Blood Moon Shop appears at the center of the map, emerging from the ground beside the Wise Old Owl NPC in the shape of a tombstone.
This shop offers exclusive items such as the Star Caller, Blood Kiwi, and Blood Banana Seed. As with other shops, the inventory is randomized, so not all items will be available at all times.

When Does the Blood Moon Event End?
The developers of Grow A Garden, The Garden Game, have not yet announced an end date for the Blood Moon Event. Since it launched on May 17, 2025, players can expect to have ample time for Bloodlit farming and trading.
