On January 24, the BetBoom Team made a statement regarding changes in the team roster for BLAST Slam II. Instead of Vladislav "Kataomi" Semenov, Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek will play in the championship. The announcement was made on the team's official Telegram channel.

TORONTOTOKYO is known for his performances with Team Spirit where he became the champion of TI 10, and he will return from the reserves to the main lineup of BetBoom Team to participate in BLAST Slam II. The player is renowned for his ability to adapt to different playstyles, which can provide the team tactical flexibility. Last year, TORONTOTOKYO played in the BB Team, but after unsatisfactory results at The International 2024, the team made changes by placing TORONTOTOKYO on the reserve bench. BetBoom Team's first game with TORONTOTOKYO will take place on February 4th.
