Patch 7.39b has been released in Dota 2 — Micro Hero and Map Adjustments

Following the significant overhaul of Patch 7.39, Valve has released Patch 7.39b - a focused balance update that targets overperforming heroes, adjusts neutral items, and introduces a few minor map tweaks. This micro-patch serves as a response to early meta shifts and player feedback, aiming to stabilize gameplay across both casual and competitive scenes.

Map Changes

  • The bottom Radiant Tier 1 tower has been shifted slightly south.
  • Trees have been added and adjusted above that tower and on the western side of the lane.
  • Juking path on the eastern side near Radiant Mid Tier 2 has been refined.
  • One tree south of Dire Top Tier 1 has been removed.
  • Fixed warding positions that were unintentionally blocked.

Neutral Item Updates

Only one neutral item received targeted adjustments to tone down overperforming effects and remove unintended interactions.

Patch 7.39b is a precise reaction to early imbalance issues from the massive spring update. By tweaking specific heroes, item interactions, and neutral effects, Valve continues its trend of rapid post-patch refinement. These changes are expected to impact drafts, team compositions, and macro strategies — especially as teams adapt to the new item behaviors and aura changes.
