One of the easiest dungeons in Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree is Dragon Pit. It is quite short, there are not a lot of resources to collect, but there are two bosses, defeating which you will get some interesting items, including good weapons and numerous runes.
How to get to Dragon Pit dungeon in Elden Ring
Start at the Pillar Path place of grace and head south, climbing up the hill, then take the lower path on the right, past the ruined statues and pillars. If you haven't passed here before, a red Ancient Dragon-Man phantom will appear. After defeating the invader, head to the end of the path, where you will reach the entrance to the cave.

Dragon Pit dungeon Walkthrough
After entering the Dragon Pit dungeon, the first thing you should do is activate the place of grace to be revived here in case of death or if you need to return to these places. Turn left and follow the tunnel forward. Go down the small cliff or down the slope on the right. Here you will have to defeat two anthropomorphic skeletons, one of which is larger, the other a little smaller. When you put them on the ground, don't forget to give them a final blow so that they don't rise again.
Go back in the direction you came from, there will be a passage under the stone platform, go there and take the Smithing Stone [1] on the corpse. After that, you can leave, there is nothing interesting there anymore. Now go to the cave opposite, which is lit by columns with lights.
Another skeleton will come out behind the wall on the right, if you didn't trigger it with a couple of previous monsters. Continue along the cave tunnel until it leads you back to another cliff. Turn left there and follow the path.
Be careful, as you'll encounter two more skeletons: one is an archer and the other is a fire-breathing skeleton with a long spear. In the same room, there will be a statue in the form of a bowl, and under it a corpse, from which you can pick up the Shadow Realm Rune [2]. But be careful, because as soon as you get there, two more simple skeletons will come out of the ground.
Go to the passage near the archer skeleton. At the exit, turn right and walk along the fallen stones, and another skeleton will come out in the corner. And two more will be in the main corridor of the room.
Magma Wyrm mini-boss
After defeating the enemies, climb the stairs through the tunnel. It will lead you to a large cave with a giant fire-breathing dragon lizard that will immediately attack you. It will take you some time and stamina to defeat it, as the enemy is quite strong and resilient, which allows you to classify it as a kind of Elden Ring boss in Dragon Pit dungeon.
In addition to blowing fire and spitting lava, it is also armed with a sword that it will often swing to kill you. Roll when the enemy attacks to dodge them and catch invulnerability frames. In addition, keep to the back or sides of the beast to avoid its attacks.
After killing the dragon, you will receive a dragon's heart and the Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone. There are two Smithing Stones [5] in the same cave and Knot Resin in the dark part of the cave.
The path to the Ancient Dragon-Man dungeon boss
Return to the previous location in the Dragon Pit tunnel you entered through, or through the hole in the ground. Go down the stairs, where another fire-breathing skeleton will be waiting for you. Go through the passage ahead. You will see the inscription, "Be brave. Show no fear." Going forward, you will see a cliff in front of you. Fulfil the condition from the inscription — be brave, jump into the abyss.
After falling, you will find yourself in a cave, and in front of you will be the entrance to the dungeon boss. But first, turn around and pick up the Smithing Stone [4] x2 behind you. After that, check your health and equipment and head out to fight the boss.
Fight with Ancient Dragon-Man
The boss here will be the true form of Ancient Dragon-Man, whose spirit you fought on the approach to the Dragon Pit dungeon. In general, the boss is not difficult. He behaves mostly like most human bosses: he attacks with his sword, does rolls, and uses a flask to restore his health.
During the battle, he can perform a jump with a charged attack that deals more damage than normal attacks, but they can be interrupted by his attacks. Ancient Dragon-Man's special ability is to spew fireballs from its dragon head. Read more about how to fight this boss in our guide.
After defeating the boss, you will receive Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana and 130,000 runes. This is the end of the Dragon Pit dungeon.
