Contexto, a word association game, gives you a new word to guess every single day. From secret to penguin and moustache, the game generates a random word and with each guess, calculates how close you are to the word of the day.
Using an AI algorithm, the calculations are made by the proximity in which they are used on the internet instead of by the meaning itself. For example, with a word like 'mystery', words like suspense, fiction and detective are considered closer than puzzle or enigma.

But sometimes, considering just how many other possible words there are, the answer is just plain hard to guess. In this article, we'll be updating the answers daily along with their closest hints in August 2026.
