GIANTX

The GIANTX organization was formed relatively recently, in 2023, following the merger of two well-known clubs: Giants and Excel Esports. This union became an important step for both parties as they aimed to strengthen their positions in the esports arena. Today, the club is one of the leading organizations in Spain. Before the merger, the clubs competed separately in different disciplines: the first GIANTX roster was entirely made up of former Giants players, while Excel Esports contributed its management resources to the joint project. Since then, the unified organization has been competing under the new tag, GIANTX.

GIANTX Valorant debuted in competitions during the 2024 season. Although the team has potential, their first season proved to be challenging. All three tournaments within the Valorant Champions Tour EMEA franchise league ended with mediocre results for the club — the team finished in one of the lower positions.

Despite this, the organization receives significant funding through its participation in the franchise league, providing a stable base for development. This allows the club to build ambitious plans for the future and actively work on improving both the roster and their results.

The only prize money the team earned in 2024 came during the off-season tournament Spotlight Series EMEA 2024, which provided a small consolation after a difficult season. After that, GIANTX focused on making serious roster changes ahead of the new season. Three new GIANTX players joined the team: westside, tomaszy, and runneR. Additionally, Daniil "pipsoN" Meshcheryakov continues to serve as the head coach, having worked with the team since the Giants era.

At first glance, GIANTX might seem like a newcomer to esports, but that’s not entirely true. Giants, part of the new club, formed their first Valorant roster back in 2020. Over three years, the team earned over $100,000 in prize money and even participated in Valorant Champions 2023, where they placed 9th-12th.
