"You're a high-class duelist only if you have excellent teammates." - Sayf shared his thoughts on team synergy in Valorant

Yesterday, professional duelist and active member of Team Vitality, Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel, took to his Twitter account to debunk a prevailing notion about roles in Valorant. According to him, players who play duelist positions cannot win games on their own and are, in fact, highly reliant on team cooperation.

In the Valorant community, there's a common belief that if you excel in the duelist role, playing agents like Reyna, Jett, or Raze, you can be the sole player who leads the team to victory. There is some truth to this at lower and mid-level ranks, as a strong duelist can single-handedly close out the entire enemy team. However, when it comes to higher ranks like Immortal and the professional scene, the situation is vastly different. Sayf explains that to become the best, you need to confidently combine your duelist skills with your team.

You're a great duelist only if you have outstanding teammates. Your individual skills won't get you to a certain level, but the ability to leverage your team members for further development is a key factor in becoming one of the best. Strive to contribute to the rankings, formulate a plan, and conquer!

It's worth noting that Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel has been competing in the Valorant competitive scene for over three years and has been a part of several top-tier organizations. As a member of Team Liquid, the Swedish player recently won the regular season of VCT 2023: EMEA League in the European region.
