South Korean organization SLT unveiled their updated Valorant roster in early 2024, which included 7 players and 2 coaches. However, this number of participants turned out to be insufficient, so today it became known that Choi "XyuN" Hyun-jin is joining the team as a coach.
In their official Twitter account, the organization's representatives welcomed the new member. They stated that Choi "XyuN" Hyun-jin will now be part of the coaching staff and asked their fans to warmly welcome and support him. Choi himself said that he is very happy to return to the esports scene after serving in the army, and he is ready to show the best results again.
Choi "XyuN" Hyun-jin is a 29-year-old Korean coach. Who was previously known in other esports disciplines, such as Overwatch and Dota 2. Later, he left the latter due to compulsory military service, but now he has returned to help the team achieve new heights. Interestingly, at the end of 2023, he was already the head coach of CELESTIAL for a short period, and helped the team win the 2023 SMS CUP - in Seongnam.
In just 20 hours, SLT will begin their performance at VALORANT Challengers 2024 Korea: Split 2, where the coach will be able to show his skills. We will follow the team to find out if the addition of another coach will be justified.
