World champion jawgemo officially joins G2 Esports Valorant

G2 Esports officially announced the addition of former world champion Alexander "jawgemo" Mor. Three days ago, the player left the team Evil Geniuses with whom he lifted the Valorant Champions trophy in 2023.

It seems that the replacement of Jacob "icy" Lange, who recently left the club, with Alexander "jawgemo" Mor is the only change expected for the G2 Esports roster. The season was already successful for the "samurais," and the addition of a former world champion in one of the key roles, duelist, will make it even more competitive, which is precisely what the organization needs, as a failure would mean the last year for them in the franchise league.

First Challenge

In just a month, on November 20, the updated G2 Esports roster will compete in the international qualifiers at the LAN format at Red Bull Home Ground #5, where the team received a direct invitation. Two slots will be contested among eight teams in a single day.

Jawgemo Freed from "Prison"

Many may have forgotten about the situation with Evil Geniuses, referred to as "contractual prison," when the club was unwilling to release players after reducing salaries due to financial difficulties. However, G2 Esports did not forget. In the announcement video, they referenced this situation, "liberating" the former champion from "prison," where he remained the only one and played a whole season in a not-so-promising lineup after winning at Valorant Champions 2023.
