“We fixed the sound that was causing ear pain,” - Valorant skins producer responded to a bug with Sheriff

After the release of update 8.05, several bugs appeared in Valorant, one of which was related to the sound effects of the Sheriff pistol with the Ion skin. After several days of complaints from players, Riot representatives responded to the issue and announced its correction.

It should be noted that the main problem was related to the Sheriff skin from the Ion set. After the update, the sound of gunfire from this weapon increased several times, which made using the skin very uncomfortable. Also, the sound effects of several other skins were changed.

Heads up! We quickly fixed the Ion Sheriff as it was hurting your ears, so give it a listen now. Work is still ongoing on other skins with errors, and they will be corrected in the next patch.

As stated by the lead producer of cosmetic content for Valorant - Preeti Khanolkar, in her official Twitter account, the bug with the Sheriff has been fixed, so players can check it in the game. However, issues with the sound effects of other skins remain, so they will be corrected in subsequent updates.

For now, the dates of future updates are unknown, so players just have to wait for official information and the correction of the problem with their favorite skin.
