Yesterday, the 2nd Act of Episode 9 officially launched in Valorant, bringing a wealth of new content to the game. Alongside the new Battle Pass, skins, and other accessories, the highly anticipated new agent Vyse made her debut, quickly capturing the hearts of the entire gaming community.

To mark the release of the new agent, an article titled "Vyse: Adapt or Die" was published on the official game website. In it, the developers explain how Vyse's abilities were created and what role she plays in the game. Riot's Agent Lead, John “Riot MEMEMEMEME” Goscicki, shared the thought process behind Vyse's creation.
"If we go back to the beginning of this year, Clove was a response to how people played controllers in competitive mode. Expanding on this idea, Vyse is a response to how players now approach the game from a space-capturing perspective. Essentially, she is a response to five players entering the Spike plant site.

Community reaction to the New Agent
Although not much time has passed since the new agent's release, meaning most professional players haven't had a chance to fully test her, some have already evaluated the new character and consider her incredibly strong. One such individual is Sentinels' assistant coach Drew "DrewSpark" Spark-Whitworth. On his Twitter account yesterday, he praised Vyse and stated that he wants to see her in every match.

It should be noted that the community currently lacks sufficient experience to objectively evaluate the new agent, so it’s best to wait a bit. Moreover, the offseason is about to begin, so we will soon see if Vyse becomes popular in the professional scene.
