Velocity Gaming confirms return to Valorant and plans to sign former Grayfox Esports roster

The owner and CEO of the Indian organization Velocity Gaming confirmed on live streams the club’s return to the professional Valorant scene.

Velocity Gaming has been active in the professional Valorant scene since the inception of esports in this shooter by Riot Games. However, in mid-2023, they announced the disbandment of their roster and exit from the discipline. Possible reasons at that time could have been poor team results and a lack of future prospects. Over nearly three years, the club won $142,599 in prize money.

According to Tanmay, Grayfox Esports will part ways with their roster after the completion of VALORANT Challengers 2024 South Asia: Split 1 - Cup 2. After this, the roster will sign a contract with Velocity Gaming and compete in the second split under the new organization.

For Velocity Gaming, this will be a grand return, as the Grayfox Esports roster is one of the strongest in their region and leads in VCL SA Points. Because of this, the team will receive a direct invitation to the second split of this year’s season.
