On January 22, 2024, concluding its "winter camp," the Chinese segment of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) joined the ranks of franchise leagues, becoming the fourth in the league. This spectacular event captured the attention of 11 VCT China participants, who spent a week engaged in diverse activities and games among organizations.
According to VALO2ASIA, the VCT China Winter Camp marked the first meeting of participants in the new league. Players and organizations actively participated in various events, including picnics, kayaking, yoga, cycling, archery, and real-life "FPS" experiences.
At the conclusion of the five-day event, organizations demonstrating the best overall results were generously rewarded with cash prizes. The title of the winner went to Ascension China, Dragon Ranger Gaming, who received 13,800 $ and the ACE Team trophy. FunPlus Phoenix, recognized for the best team spirit, was awarded 6,900 $.
The next significant event on the calendar will be the debut of the 11 VCT China teams at the Kickoff tournament on February 22. The season-opening tournament will provide valuable points for the cycle and two slots for the Masters in Madrid.
