Details regarding the group distribution for the upcoming VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 tournament, set to begin in March, were released today. Participants have been divided into two groups: A and B, each promising intense matchups and fierce competition for playoff spots.

Tournament Format

Although no official information has been shared online, it can be speculated that the tournament will retain its previous format, which is as follows:

Group Stage:

• Two group stages in a "Round Robin" format
• Alpha Group consists of 6 teams, and Omega Group has 6 teams, determined before Stage 1 based on their performance at Kickoff.
• Teams will play inter-group matches.
• All matches are Best of 3 (Bo3).
• The top 3 teams from each group advance to the playoffs.
• Group winners go directly to the upper bracket semifinals.
• Teams finishing 2nd and 3rd enter the elimination round.
• Each team must secure at least two wins to qualify for the playoffs. If this condition is not met, the highest-ranked team from the other group that meets the criteria will proceed further.

Playoffs:

• Hybrid single-elimination system
• Elimination round: One team eliminated per match.
• From the upper bracket semifinals onward: Two teams are eliminated per match.
• All matches (except the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final) are Best of 3 (Bo3).
• Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final are Best of 5 (Bo5).
• The top 3 teams qualify for Masters.
