Valorant developers explained why there is no skin for Outlaw in the XERØFANG set

Recently, Riot Games announced a new collection of skins "XEROFANG", which is expected to appear in Valorant on February 8th. Despite the excellent quality of the skins, some players were disappointed because the set will not include the long-awaited skins for the new sniper rifle Outlaw.

It should be noted that the XERØFANG set will include skins only for Vandal, Ghost, and melee weapons. The price of the set will be 6355VP, with individual skins priced at 1775VP for Vandal, 1775VP for Ghost, and 4350VP for the knife. After all the details of the set were announced, the Valorant community expressed their dissatisfaction with the absence of the promised skin for Outlaw. Valorant cosmetic content producer Preeti Khanolkar responded to the players, assuring that skins for Outlaw would be provided later.

As I have mentioned before, developing a full collection with effects and animations takes a lot of time, from several months to 1-2 years. We decided not to delay the release of Outlaw for the sake of quality skins, as it will allow players to get used to its standard model.

Preeti explained that working on skins with unique animations can take up to two years, so the community needs to wait a bit and get used to the regular model. The producer also added that Riot is still working on skins for Outlaw, and they are expected in one of the future updates.

The community's reaction to this news was quite mixed. Some players understand Riot's position and are willing to wait for quality skins, while others are disappointed that they will have to play with the basic model of Outlaw for a long time. In any case, players cannot speed up the process, so all that remains is to wait.
