Chinese team Trace Esports, which is among the top three in its region, has started the current season with quite good results. This prompted the organization to further strengthen its Valorant roster, and today it became known that Zhang “Midi” Jiajun joined the team as the sixth player.
Trace Esports performance
As mentioned above, Trace Esports is a fairly strong team in the Chinese region, and as of today, we can safely say that it is the top 2, and is second only to the current world champions EDward Gaming. Since the beginning of 2025, Trace has successfully performed at the VCT 2025: China Kickoff qualifiers, where it took second place. This allowed the team to get a slot at Masters Bangkok 2025. Although the first international event ended in the last 7-8th place for Trace, such results are still better than most teams in their region.

Who is Midi
As described above, Zhang “Midi” Jiajun will become the new sixth member of Trace Esports, as the organization's representatives announced on their official social media.

He is a little-known Chinese player who has previously played in such teams as: Change The Game and PanDa. As a member of the latter, he took part in the first and second qualifying stages of the FGC VALORANT Invitational 2023: Act 1 and Act 2 in 2023, but both times ended unsuccessfully for his team, in 9-16 and 16-18 places.
Now, with the advent of Midi, the Trace Esports roster has six players, which means that the team is ready for any unexpected moments and possible replacements. The next match for Trace Esports is scheduled for April 12 against Bilibili Gaming, as part of the last game week of the VCT 2025 China Stage 1 group stage.
