At the beginning of 2024, Riot Games introduced VCT Team Sets for all fans who wanted to support their favorite team. In just two days, the sets will disappear from the Valorant store, so make sure to grab the skins you want.
The Appearance of VCT Team Capsules
The team sets first appeared in February 2024. Riot Games partnered with 33 teams from the EMEA, Pacific, and Americas regions. The sets included a Classic pistol skin, a player card, a weapon charm, and a graffiti spray.
Interestingly, Chinese teams did not initially present their own capsules, as China officially joined the other competitive regions only at the end of 2023, and the teams didn’t have time to prepare their sets. However, this situation was later resolved, and by mid-May 2024, 11 partner teams from the China region presented their own sets, which included only a Classic skin and a weapon charm, without graffiti or player cards.
Community Reaction and Popularity of the Sets
Despite the limited content in the team capsules, the Valorant community warmly embraced the team sets. Players had a great opportunity to support their favorite teams and receive rewards in return. While detailed sales statistics are not available, Riot Games announced that the team sets, along with the Champions Collection, have already generated over $35 million. Additionally, fans are requesting more sets, and it was recently revealed that there will be new team capsules in 2025, although their contents remain unknown.
