DRX's Performance at Valorant Champions 2024
The Korean team qualified for the World Championship by finishing second at VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 2, which earned them $65,000 and a spot at the event. After the draw, DRX was placed in Group A, where they, along with Fnatic, were the main favorites. Expectations were met, and thanks to two easy victories, the team advanced to the playoff stage. However, the subsequent matches were not as successful. In their first encounter, DRX lost to Sentinels 0-2 and fell into the lower bracket, where they defeated Trace Esports with a 2-0 score. In the final match, the team faced the European top team, Team Heretics, and despite a fierce battle, they lost 1-2. As a result, DRX's journey at the World Championship ended in 5th-6th place, earning the club $85,000 in prize money.
