According to the article, The Union organization has decided to exit the Valorant discipline, as it did a week earlier with Counter-Strike. Since the main focus for the club was the FPS shooter from Riot Games, most sponsors do not plan to continue cooperation with the organization. Therefore, the Brazilian team will cease to exist at the end of this year unless a third party willing to buy it out is found.
Throughout 2023, The Union dominated the Brazilian scene, winning both VCB splits. This gave them the opportunity to compete for a spot in the American franchise league at the VCL Ascension: Americas 2023 tournament, where the team managed to take third place.
